Why a plumber as your general contractor
On a house build or a major renovation, many of the key issues are underground and inside the walls: the foundation, the water and sewer lines, the septic system, the drains and the heating. This is precisely the work we do every day.
When one contractor does both the excavation and the plumbing, there are fewer parties to coordinate and less risk of a trench being dug in the wrong place.
Renovations
A complete bathroom renovation, a basement to finish or a kitchen being relocated almost always involves the plumbing, and often other trades as well. We can coordinate all of the work for you.
For choosing tubs, showers and faucets, our showroom at the store at 77 rue Principale makes these choices easier: you can see the products in person before you decide. For simpler renovation plumbing, see our residential plumbing page.
New builds
Building a new house in the country starts long before the framing: the water supply, septic system, foundation and drain all have to be planned. The Environment ministry's guide also points out that you need a municipal permit for the septic system before building a home that isn't on a sewer. Our septic systems page walks through the steps.
Then come the structure, the plumbing, the heating (for example, a radiant floor in the slab) and the finishing. We recommend involving us early, before excavation begins, while it is still easy to plan where everything goes.
Getting started
You are welcome to bring us your plans, even at the sketch stage. We will review together what is feasible and in what order. Since building permit requirements are set by your municipality, we address this from the start.
We're open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also reach us through the contact page.
